In the words of Insider Gaming, "this is not changing, and over 100 journalists will have an opportunity to watch the behind-the-scenes show as well as having an opportunity to interact with the game. It's believed that the embargo to the event and hands-on impressions will end on Diablo 4 Gold. "During the presentation, Rod Fergusson invited all of the attendees to watch The Game Awards as they'll make some announcements." Blizzard announced that Diablo 4 is still getting Set Items, though you'll likely be waiting until post-launch for them to be used in-game.
Game director Joe Shely explains during a recent roundtable that reimagining sets in a manner that fits Diablo 4 properly wouldn't be likely to be available for launch until next year, but they are considering adding them to Live service.
"As we've been building the game, we realized that we could build sets in a new method that was different from what we've seen in Diablo 3. We needed time to bring sets into the game in a way that would work perfectly with the rest of Diablo 4, so you will not see any sets until the launch as part of the gameplay," Shely explains. "We think sets are interesting, and we'd like to create them in a way that is right - therefore, we're looking in the future for our live-stream service."
"There's a legendary staff member within the demo that changes the spell's fireball in a triple fireball spell," Former game director Luis Barriga told Polygon(opens in new tab) back in the year 2019. "The difference might be that, as you can imagine that a set currently in the live version of Diablo 3 gives you bonuses greater than a thousand. I believe we're designing the game in the moment to be a bit more limited to prevent becoming caught up in that expanding energy curve."
Set Items are typically strong devices that give the most power when fully together. They're "set" since they're always offering the same benefits, and also they are part of an entire set. They were first introduced with cheap Diablo 4 Gold that they became the most dominant. It is yet to be determined how they'll impact their impact on the Diablo 4 meta should they occur, however we have absolutely no doubt that their impact on the evolving fashion scene will be greatly felt.
