On 19 November 2023, Javier Milei, the leader of the far-right Libertarian Party in Argentia, won the presidential election with 56% of votes in the second electoral round. Milei's triumph reflects the failure of Alberto Fern¨¢ndez's incumbent government, which ended a 4-year term on 10 December 2023 with annual inflation higher than 150%. To restore fiscal balance, Milei promised to reduce the Argentine state to a minimum and reintroduce neoliberal policies. His campaign ridiculed terms such as ¡®social justice¡¯, ¡®solidarity¡¯ and ¡®equal opportunities¡¯. He strongly questioned the existence of anthropogenic climate change and the social-isolation policies imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic.1
